Psorexederm Cream for itchy/scratchy ezcema and Lavender Balm for dry non-itchy excema areas

ANSWERS(S)

Hi R,

I'll describe both the products properties as often children will need to use the two products as different areas of the body can have eczema to different degrees.

The Lavender Face and Body Balm (Also now available without lavender as "Hypo-allergenic face and body balm" for allergy sufferers) spreads onto the skin as a protective layer. It is ideal to retain moisture especially for inflamed skin the has not got to the broken and itchy stage. It is not messy to use and as long as the skin is UNBROKEN and NOT itchy it will usually work very well.

The Psorexederm Cream (for psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis) is a zinc based cream

It is especially good at RELIEVING ITCH and also for RED, RAW or WEEPING surfaces. Also it can be used if the skin is mildly irritated too. So for itchy areas where the child is scratch this works better. It is applied lightly and melts in contact with the skin, some penetrates the skin and the rest is left on the surface looking like fairly heavy sunscreen !

Then you use a soft cloth such as an old towel and just pat the skin to remove the excess cream. Do not rub. You may need to fold the cloth over and repeat this 3 times until the skin is left with a slight shine but no excess cream to cause a mess.

So to summarise: Psorexederm for itchy/scratchy areas and lavender balm for dry non-itchy areas.

The 2 can be alternated, say Psorexederm at night and Lavender balm during the day. If you have to use cortisone at any stage, apply it first then our cream over the top. If you apply the cortisone last it simply won't penetrate through our products.

At this time of year heat, sweat and chlorine in swimming pools will aggravate eczema. Swimming is great for the children so if using a pool apply the lavender balm then the Suncream over the top to avoid aggravating the eczema.

There is no benefit in mixing the 2 creams together and applying them as a mixture.

Hope this helps,
Kind Regards,
David Hosking

QUESTION(S) about treating ITCHY SCRATCHY excema V DRY NON-ITCH ezcema

Hi there..

I purchased some ecsema relief for my daughter from you about 2 1/2 years ago. We have used it intermittantly as it seemed to provid relief but did not stop the ecsema. It seems to provide relief for our young son who unfortunately also suffers from ecsema but again does not solve the problem.

After reviewing your website you have a cream specifically for ecsema while the one we have is the soothing lavender face & body balm.

The question I have is whether you can use the specific ecsema cream on toddlers (my daughter is 3 and my son is 20 months) as I would prefer using your products to the cortisone that the doctors prescribe.

Also, does this one provide relief too or do you combine the two?

Many thanks
R
