Psorexederm Cream for Treating excema on baby's elbows or behind the legs

ANSWERS(S)

Hi MI, USA

The reason the paediatricians don't worry too much about these problems is almost all children eventually grow out of it. My philosophy is babies and children have very sensitive skin which can be protected safely in most cases so they can have normal, soft smooth baby skin.

As far as the face and the Lavender Face and Body Balm, just keep using it and her body will eventually develop less sensitive skin. There is no harm in long term use and most mothers find it makes their hands feel softer from applying it.

You will also find the rash will flare up after a cold or any illness. I have noticed this for a long time and I am sure the developing immune system is involved in the development of rashes. Some systems of the body , for example the ability to metabolise alcohol, are not developed until the age of 12 years so it shows there is probably a lot we don't know. Just treat it as a developmental phase rather than an illness and continue with the balm as needed.

Thank you for the nice clear pictures. The answer for the red, almost raw creases is our zinc based Psorexederm Cream. This is a thick white cream which melts into the skin when applied leaving quite a bit of white zinc residue which you just blot off with a soft cloth leaving a reasonably thick layer on the skin. The blotting off procedure is only needed as you don't want white zinc stained clothes. If you are using a pair of old cotton pyjamas you can leave it on a bit thicker which should fix it in 14 days..

The Psorexederm Cream contains a small amount of boric acid which is both antifungal and antibacterial. It also contains Vitamin A and Vitamin D to heal the skin. It also has an anti-inflammatory effect to reduce the redness. We have found the 2 in combination to be ideal for elbow and knee crease rashes and also for adult skin fold rashes too. It can be applied at night and the lavender balm used during the day. I am sure applying it once or twice a day will solve the problem.

Psorexederm is NOT suitable for around the mouth as it is stronger, however if baby scratches and sucks a bit off their hands it is harmless. Just use the Lavender Face and Body Balm when the skin is good and add the Psorexederm if the skin breaks down in the elbows or behind the legs as is possible sometimes. I think this should simply solve your problem for you. Should you have success with the Psorexederm Cream, could you send me a couple of after pictures please? I am very confident it will do the job.

Kind Regards,
David Hosking.

QUESTION(S) about treating Treating reoccuring rashes on baby's elbows or behind the legs

Hello!

I have a 6 month old baby who has eczema that flares up on a daily basis. She has had bad eczema on the inside creases of her elbows since birth. When we started her solids at 5 months, she began to get a bad rash around her mouth and cheeks. I searched the Internet for simple solutions and used Lanolin for a while because it was the only thing safe for her mouth. Well, it never REALLY went away...it just kept the flare ups down.

After searching again on the Internet, I found your website and purchased the Lavender balm because it was non-toxic. The balm works great on her face and if I continue to use it everyday it doesn't flare up. But when I start to use it intermittently it begins to flare up again. Do I have to use it everyday for the rest of her infant years or is there a better solution to completely get rid of the rash for extended periods of time?

My major concern is with the creases in her elbows. As I mentioned before, she has had this since birth. Her pediatrician has never shown any concern for the issue and has recommended a number of things that never work.

It looks terrible and at times it gets crusty too. It never seems to bother her, but it is so embarrassing when people ask about it. I have used Cortisone and that has temporarily worked, but after about 3 or 4 days of using it the rash comes back. Her pediatrician has also given her some yeast cream (Nystatin) to see if it was yeast related, but it made it worse and more crusty.

Since I started using the balm on the creases of her elbows...the eczema seems to be better, but it never really went away. I like using your product, but on your website I notice you give some people further advice as to other things they could use. I have attached some pictures of her elbows and was hoping you could help me with a permanent fix or at least something that would bring the redness down to a minimum.

As of now, I am still using the Lavender balm on both her face and arms everyday at least 4 times a day. I am applying it liberally and make sure her arms are clean and dry when I apply it.

Thanks for any help you might have.
