Hi M R,
I would apply the Hypo Allergenic Face and body balm
which can be applied without stinging
to any area of her body including the genitals.
The secret of success is to apply it frequently to maintain a slight shine showing the balm
is producing a protective layer. Apply very liberally in the groin area as nappies etc will
tend to remove it faster in this area.
If using cortisone, do not suddenly stop it. Apply it as you are doing under the Balm for
1 week then the following week have the amount you are using of the cortisone then on the
3rd week stop the cortisone.
This prevents what I call "Cortisone withdrawal Flare-up" where a skin problem that is under
control suddenly flares up badly within 2-3 days of ceasing the cortisone.
The other things to do are dress her lightly in cotton as over heating in "bunny suits" can
aggravate eczema and use a good bath oil in the bath ,any good brand such as OV, Dermaveen,
Hamilton's bath oils are all fine.
Our Hypo Allergenic Face and body balm
is non-toxic so should she scratch the skin then
suck her fingers no harm can possibly be caused.
Hope this Helps,
Kind Regards,
David Hosking.
Question about Infant Excema in the face (cheeks), arms, legs and labia area (genitals)

Dear David,
My 7 month old daughter has been diagnosed with excema since 3 months of age.
Her face (cheeks), arms, legs and now labia are affected. Her face and labia are very red
and irritated. I have been using Eucerin calming cream and hydrocortisone treatment but
the excema never seems to "go away". I have tried aquaphor and other creams/oils without
much success. Do you think one of your products could help?

Introducing David's Hypoallergenic Face and Body Balm
We formulated the lavender -free balm (removed the lavender oil) for infants, babys and children
with hypersensitivities. The hypoallergenic balm should work precisely the
same as our Lavender Balm product, although, of course,
it does not come with the lovely smell and color of the Lavender oil.
The hypo allergenic product without lavender oil conforms to the guidelines of
Sue Dengate ( see;
http://www.fedupwithfoodadditives.info/)
who is prominent in helping children with food additive sensitivities. These
children also tend to have eczema and so the Hypoallergenic product without
lavender was born after requests from a number of customers. Directions for use
are exactly the same as for David's Soothing Lavender Face & Body Balm.
