History of our Nappy Rash (Diaper rash) Cream

As a Pharmacist I had seen babies with Nappy Rash (Diaper rash) that
was so bad the Skin appeared to be RAW and blistered!
It was hard to believe the parents stories that the rash
had appeared after just one day.
But when my own children were born I soon discovered such raw,
sore nappy rash could develop on my Bub's overnight.
It seemed the combination of a loose bowel (poo) action (diarrhoea) together
with urine (pee, wee) could SCALD a Babies buttocks in a matter of hours !!
We tried all the "usual creams", added tar and oils to the bath and
even had Antibiotic and Cortisone products prescribed by Doctors.
NOTHING seemed to protect our tots skin long enough for complete
healing to occur. The rash would clear up quite a bit during the
day but then got WORSE during the night!
It was clear no skin care treatment could work unless it could protect the
little ones tender skin completely for the whole night. But the cream had to be gentle
and not sting when it was applied to raw areas with very bad nappy rash.
The nappy rash ointment would need an antiseptic to protect the skin from the
bacteria in bowel motions but be completely non-irritant to the sensitive damaged skin.
We managed to develop a natural skin care cream with all those benefits from NATURAL
active ingredients which included three medicinal Plant Balsams in a
zinc-rich water repellent special dermatological base.
It promotes RAPID healing and creates a water proof barrier that repels

How do I clear up Nappy Rash FAST ?

TO USE
Simply apply the 'Soothing & Healing Nappy Rash Cream' thickly at every nappy change. Healing will start overnight
Apply at each nappy change until your bubba's skin is normal again.
- To PREVENT NAPPY RASH (Ammonia Dermatitis) occuring
Apply at the first sign of Redness.
After one or two applications your babies skin should be normal again.
The healing plant balsams in the cream may form droplets in the jar as you use
the cream. This does not in any way alter the creams effectiveness. The herbal
balsams can causes a slight brown color on cloth nappies.
Simply use a Nappy Liner to avoid this.
- To use in very COLD Weather
If the cream becomes very cold on frosty nights it may become too thick
to easily apply. Simply store the cream in a warmer room or place the
jar in hot water to soften.
- Nappy Rash caused by Gastro-Enteritis
If your baby has loose and frequent bowel motions (diarrhoea) due to food intolerance
or gastroenteritis then simply use the cream at EVERY napkin change.
Healing will be slower as your babies skin is continously exposed to
urine (pee, wee) and loose bowel (poo) actions (diarrhoea).

DO's and DON'T for curing Nappy Rash fast

Some quick tips for curing Nappy Rash (Ammonia Dermatitis) fast:
- Washing your tots bottom more often than is required can actually increased the likelihood of nappy rashes
as this practise can irritate the toddlers skin and remove its natural barrier against wetness
- Do NOT use Baby Wipes as these are often irritant to damaged skin on your toddlers bottom.
- Rather than baby wipes use a cloth and warm water and then gently 'pat' the skin dry, rather than 'rubbing' vigorously which may cause more irritation to your baby's behind
- Do NOT use Talcum Powder on the Nappy area
- An old wives tale which we have found seems to work is to avoid Broccoli
in the diet when Nappy rash is present. Broccoli is fine to give when the nappy rash
has healed again

Can Nappy Rash cream be used as a Barrier cream on every Nappy change ?
I have an eight weeks old baby and she is having quite a bit of
skin problems, craddle cap,
ezcema and nappy rash.
I was given your nappy rash cream by a family friend and it works.
This is after we have tried quite a number of all others barrier cream.
My question is, can your nappy cream be used as a barrier cream on EVERY nappy
change?

ANSWER
Yes, The nappy rash cream is safe to use as a barrier cream at every nappy change especially if
the baby has a tendency to frequent loose bowel (poo) actions such as during teething and diet changes.
However , If the babies motions (stools) are normal and rarely loose I would only use it on the odd occasion the nappy rash flared up.
The only reason for this is economy. If their bottom looks fine don't use it.
Some children can go from no problem to red raw over night, in this case use it daily as a preventative.
Your judgment is the best guide. The nappy cream is totally safe to use as you see fit.

Does the nappy rash cream cure Yeast Rash (& Thrush) too ?
ANSWER
The Nappy cream is excellent for treating yeast rash as well. In fact a lot
of adult women find it good for intractable thrush and
irritation around the vaginal/vulval area.
But to answer the question, simply apply it thickly to the affected area
frequently for a rapid cure.

I gave birth recently and have an anal fissure caused by a combination of childbirth and being constipated
for absolutely ages before and after giving birth. It's very painful and I have seen my doctor about it.
He doesn't want me to use the cream that's available to help relax things down there because I'm breastfeeding.
Is there anything you could recommend to help the healing process? It gets better for a few days and then comes
back and bleeds and is very painful again.
You probably already have the answer sitting on the shelf at home!
Either the Psorexederm cream (RECOMMENDED)
or the Nappy rash cream will work well.
After a bowel motion gently cleanse the area with a wet washcloth and dry. You apply quite a large "blob"
of either of the above products so the fissure and anal area is well covered. Then place a panty liner
with "wings" in your underwear positioned so when you sit down the applied cream remains in the area without
getting on your clothes.
The other aspect which you are probably doing is to eat food that produces soft bowel motions. A bunch of Fresh
grapes or a handful of dried grapes with plenty of water is good, pineapple fresh or tinned a couple of slices,
Frozen raspberries and blue berries thawed , a bowl at night is good. (If you have a Costco near you the berries
are cheap there)
This will take 3-4 days to work but is good food, great tasting and effective in most cases.
If constipation has been an on-going problem just keep on the berries!
Of course you can always use the fibre supplements like Metamucil e.t.c or for hard motions use a liquid motion softening mixture containing lactulose like Duphalac (all safe for breastfeeding)

Is your nappy rash cream gluten free (wheat free) ?
ANSWER
ALL our products are 100% gluten free (wheat-free) and none of the ingredients are
derived from wheat.
This is a big problem for many people, especially those suffering (coeliac disease)
or celiac disease (different spellings in different countries) Celiac is USA,
Coeliac is England/Australia. (Which is a debilitating condition due to allergy to
wheat proteins especially gluten)
All wheat and triticale (another cereal seed) and gluten containing products
must be avoided as they cause persistent diarrhorea and damage to the
intestinal lining that makes the problem progressively worse.
(Rice products are fine)
By totally avoiding gluten and wheat based products (malt in
confectionary, "Mars Bars" and even beer !!!) the body can return to a normal
state.
Our diaper rash/nappy rash cream is ideal for the sore bottom that results from
gluten caused diarrhorea in people with celiac disease (coeliac disease).
Adults can apply it thickly with a panty liner with "wings" inside their
underwear so the cream does not get on their clothes.
This works for men too. It sounds a bit odd, but the men put the panty liner in the area of
their underpants that is near the anus. Panty liners are self adhesive and
just stick inside the underpants. Men are unfamiliar with doing this but if
they have Celiac disease (coeliac disease), then this can help with painful
diarrhorea. The problem never goes away and affects a significant number of
the population as you will notice gluten-free food sections in the
super-markets these days too.

Hi. Can't help on the intollerance thing, but if all the other suggestions for bum cream
fail, try David Hosking's Soothing & Healing Nappy Rash Cream. David Hosking is a pharmacist
in Melbourne whose kids had really, really bad bum rash when they were little and he and
his pharmacist wife ended up coming up with their own brand of bum cream after trying every
other one they could find. I've seen really bad rash clear up super quickly.

They also have an excellent soothing cream that is just fabulous for teething dribble and
dry skin. Also try giving her loads and loads of free bum time (scary but needed when its
really bad) and using a very gentle, natural body wash.

rash I had under the boobs. I've used every prescription and over the counter cream known
and have had no relief from anything, UNTIL NOW. I even used it for the itch "down below"

There is nothing like this in the US.
We have used Desitine, Triple Paste, Butt Paste, Balmex, plain Vaseline and nothing was working.
My poor baby boy was having diaper rashes that would leave open sores and the compond cream the doctor
prescribed left his bottom so dry that layers of skin would peel off after everything healed.
It worked, but took days to see improvements and then left his buttom so dry it was leathery.

Back again for the 4th or 5th time. My husband has had MS for 14 years.

found this cream to be fantastic. My 9 month old had terrible nappy rash for a few weeks and I had
tried several different barrier creams together with a doctor subscribed topical cortisone cream and
her rash would still not heal. David Hosking's Soothing and healing nappy rash cream finally got rid of
her rash in approx. 2 weeks (it was quite severe with open wounds exposing raw skin which bled on occasion).
I will continue using this cream for my baby and spread the word to any friends that need something that
