QUESTIONS:
Dear Sir,
I have been diagnosed with Seborrheic Dermatitis. The problem with my
condition is that i do not have dandruff i have terrible inflammation of the
scalp and because of this my hair is dry and often brittle.
The products i have been recommended to use is Nizoral Shampoo and
Betnovate cream since the liquid bothers my scalp because of the alcohol.
These products help a bit but still on a scale of 1-10 these products only
rate a 5 scale for me. I am looking for alternative treatments that are not
so harsh such as cortisones.
I am looking for a safe product that will help relieve the inflammation
which affects my sinuses due to the inflammation.
Please can you recommend a product.

Hi Sufferer on the Cayman Islands
From your email it seems you have 2 conditions, please correct me if I have
misunderstood you.
- You have severe scalp Seborrheic Dermatitis
- The second problem is you have bad inflammation of the sinuses in your nose.
Betnovate Scalp treatment is so high in alcohol it is inflammable which is
why it stings like crazy and dries out your scalp.
Since you have given me plenty of detail about your scalp condition I can
suggest you use our
Psorexederm Scalp Treatment
which is not cortisone based
and has Olive oil in the formula to stop your hair from being dry and
brittle. It relieves the inflammation and any associated itching. It has
very little alcohol in it and does not sting unless applied to open scalp
sores. In that case any stinging is minor and not harmful.
Usage directions are on the website at
http://www.hoskingspharmacy.com/treat-scalp-rashes.htm so you can just
click on this link for that info.
Results are very good and seen in just 14 days (often sooner) There is no
long term problems using the product (unlike cortisone)
For your sinus problem, please send me some more info on your sinus problem
including what triggers it, how long you have had it , has any product
helped at all? Has any product made it worse? Are you on any other
medications ? Do you have any allergies ? What are you using at the moment
to try to control it? Have you had any nasal surgery or nasal polyps? And
anything else you think of, then I can give you a better informed answer on
that.
Kind Regards,
David Hosking.
