QUESTION (16\12\07):
Hello,
I think I have tinea. My symptoms are flaky skin around the side of
the feet and around the toes (feel like I am a snake shedding skin).
There is no breakage nor itchiness of the skin but the scaling is
irritating. I have had this condition for about 1 year now I think.
Please advise if Tinea ointment and the deo fresh spray are suitable
to treat this condition. Can I change my order to 1 set to try
before re-ordering more later?
ANSWER:
The chances are very likely that it is tinea, particularly if the scaling appears to be around the edges of the
skin layers. Now that summer is here, try wearing thongs or sandals as often as possible.
At bedtime, just before getting into bed and in the morning just before putting your socks on massage
in our Tinea Cream. As it makes the foot slippery do not apply before putting on any footwear that are
worn with bare feet.
When wearing open footwear like thongs or sandals applying just once at bedtime will work too.
The tinea cream is rather waxy when remove it from the jar but melts and massages in very quickly.
If your sandals are leather, treat them twice a week with Deo-Spray to kill any bacteria and fungal spores
that may get into the leather and possibly reinfect your foot.
Treat ordinary shoes, runners , sports shoes etc with the Deo Spray when you take them off at night
and they will be ready in the morning to wear as the product dries rapidly.
When you get home, you can also refresh your feet with a spray onto your feet with Deo Spray.
Even though they are not my particular style taste, the casual shoe range called crocks are very good for the skin and any foot problems. See:
http://www.crocsshoes.com.au as they allow the foot to breathe well.
They are very comfortable also.
Let me know the results for you.
Kind Regards,
David Hosking.
