Menopause, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and products that didn't work for Eczema, Dermatitis and Psoriasis

Hello,

I am a new customer of yours. I am looking forward to trying out your product (The cream for eczema/dermatitis/psoriasis) for the first time. I purchased it last week, and should be receiving it within the next week or so. Meanwhile, I wanted to get your thoughts on some things. I have had serious skin issues since I was a baby. I had it under control for a long time when I got into my 20s, but within the last 2 yrs, it seems like these skin issues have come back with a vengeance. I am a woman in my forties. I eat pretty healthy. I exercise, and drink lots of water.

I don't doubt that I have been under stress, but in these times, who isn't. I don't doubt my hormones may be a little wacky, since I am going through menopause. Is it possible that these things could be contributing to this comeback of my skin issues which consist of eczema, dermatits, and psoriasis. I have been diagnosed with all 3. The doctors that I have seen, have prescribed me valisone, elidel, and most recently clobetasol. Elidel didn't really help. Valisone use to help, but it seemed like it eventually stopped working. The clobetasol seemed to be doing pretty good, but then I noticed some other strange things happening with my skin that I did not care for - such as spots, moles, and acne coming from this cream. I was using clobetasol on my face because the psoriasis and eczema was forming on my face, especially around my mouth.

I decided to stop using the clobetasol, and take a more natural approach, because I did not like the symptoms that I was experiencing from the clobetasol. So I began using Freederm. That did absolutely nothing. Then I started using Zenmed. This did absolutely nothing. Then I began using Biobalm, and I have been really frustrated seeing this had done nothing. If anything, all 3 of these products broke me out even worse, but yet they claimed to do wonders if you go to their websites. Maybe they do for some people. Maybe my skin issues are a bit stronger than what these treatments can handle. Although all 3 of them claim to handle even my problems.

Let me tell you what I am dealing with. I have this psoriasis and eczema all over my hands. It looks horrible. My hands were beautiful about 6 months ago. I also have this stuff on my face, but not as bad. Within the last few months is had developed all over the backs and sides of my thighs and legs. It really looks bad. The only thing that I can think of, is that my body is going through some serious changes. But, I still should be able to clear this up like I use to be able to.

I should mention to you that I do have irritable bowel syndrome which is painful, so I have to watch what I eat anyway. Because alot of food that I use to eat, I can't eat anymore. Of course I hate that. I have been prescribed various medications for that, but I stopped taking them because I don't like the symptoms from them. I am working with myself naturally now. When I say this, I am mainly speaking of trying to eat right, which does seem to help. I am mentioning this problem of mine, because it is known through research, etc., that bowel issues too can lead to serious skin issues such as mine. I have done the natural cleansings, etc., You name it. So I think that for the most part I take pretty good care of myself. I don't smoke, or do anything else that will harm the body.

So the only thing that I can come up with is my childhood skin disease has crept back up on me for some reason. I know that this is something that I will always have, but I still should be able to clear it up as I have always done in the past. As I said previously, maybe these creams/ointments that I have been using are not strong enough for me now, plus my system didn't like them anyway since I broke out even more from using them.

I have always used sensitive cleansing products to bathe with - such as basis soap/cetaphil/aveeno oatmeal/lavendar soap. They seem to soothe my skin, but they are not clearing my skin up. I need a good skin product treatment for this. I hope that your product can help me, because I was about to give up looking until I ran across your website. We will see what happens when I use your cream.

What are your thoughts on what I have mentioned here? I appreciate you taking out the time from your busy schedule, to read this long drama story on my skin problems. I felt it was necessary since all else has failed. Thanks for listening.

A frustrated Skin Problem Sufferer who is looking for some relief

ANSWER:

Thanks for your patience.

Yes the websites (even ours) dwell on their success stories. Freederm TM is basically hydrocortisone I don't like Clobetasol TM as it is very potent and used on broken skin, it can be absorbed causing other problems.

Stress aggravates skin rashes, but as you say, you can't escape that except maybe a weekend away and that won't do a lot. IBS is a big problem as it takes up to 6 months for the intestine to get back to normal and that will only happen with strict gluten free diet and avoiding chemicals in food. This is a great Australian food additive site http://www.fedupwithfoodadditives.info/ Sue Dengate has done a lot for people with food additive problems and you should get some info there. You can write to her and she is wonderfully helpful.

Get the IBS under control even if it means using the cortisone enemas and sulphasalazine tablets (for example) because if you have IBS it will aggravate all your other conditions.

Colonoscopies have shown it typically takes 6-12 months to get your digestive system back to normal if you eat the right things. Avoiding wheat containing products (gluten is the problem protein in wheat) means totally avoiding them. Gluten is also in barley & malt and the cereal triticale. Read the fine print on the labels, yeast extract comes from wheat!

As far as the Psorexederm Cream TM goes, massage it in and it will soften dry and cracked skin, heal damaged areas and soothe itch with no long term problems. Suddenly stopping cortisone products may result in a flare up so use a little cortisone if need be but with 14 days some improvement will be noticed. The treatment for Psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis are all similar in you need to put a protective barrier on the skin, reduce itch and inflammation and try to prevent infection through broken skin.

The Psorexederm Cream TM will do that. Menopause is probably the least of your problems, usually mood swings especially in your case you have a right to feel unhappy! Hot flushes can be a symptom. Evening primrose oil and fish oil are good for the skin and hot flushes at a dose of 1000MG of fish oil 3 times a day. Try one thing at a time for 1 week to see what is working and what isn't. Just change one thing at a time. I'd try the fish oil first.

Get a good gastroenterologist and get your IBS under control as damaged intestinal linings let substances into the body that can aggravate your condition.

The Psorexederm Cream TM on it's own will help a lot but you need to do the rest. Please contact me if I can be of further assistance.

Kind Regards,
David Hosking.
