Can toddlers have psoriasis?

I babysit for twin girls and they have had this condition for quite a while. It sort of looks like psoriasis, but am not sure if this is what they have. The one twin has it on her legs the worse, the doctor told the Mother to use Cetaphil Lotion, but when she puts it on the little girl screams in pain.

If you could help me I would appreciate it. Maybe I could send you a picture if this would help.

Hi Jaque,

Toddlers can have psoriasis, but I am inclined to think it may be atopic eczema which is much more common. If you can email me a picture I could advise you better.

When the skin is broken, water based lotions will sting and I imagine this is what is happening when you apply the cetaphil. My Lavender Balm is non-toxic & will not sting and should dramatically improve the condition within 2 weeks. I would like to see a picture first to be more certain.

Coincidently, one of our family friends works as a nanny and has had excellent success with the lavender balm with some of the children she looks after.

Hope this helps you,
Kind Regards,
David Hosking.
